Tar Heels

This was the first year I've ever cared to fill out brackets for the NCAA tournament. Eh, "cared" is a stretch. This was the first year I was the only girl in the office and I didn't want my non-participation, combined with my office on the opposite side of the building from everyone else's, to further ostracize me.

It turns out, if you harbor feelings of spite toward a school that didn't accept you as an incoming freshie five years ago, so on principle you don't allow them to advance past the first round, but it turns out they have an extremely talented team... you will come in second to last.

Nice game, dudes. Nice game.

Jeff and I couldn't bring ourselves to let them win in our brackets, even though we knew they would probably win. Spite kills my brackets every year. UNC totally ruined "the madness" for us.

Oh man. Killer. One of my brackets came in dead last and the other scored 4th place. I am convinced that my downfall was when Illini lost prematurely.

I, too, was completely worked over by stupid UNC. And I only hate them as a show of family loyalty. The one scenario in which I would lose our family bracket was if UNC won the whole thing. BOOOOO. More BOOOOO because Aaron won.

yes--we should talk. I'm pretty sure you're busier than I am--give me a call! AND, yes, you would enjoy Kate very much.

I would LOVE to be in NY. That picture is an oldie, August '08. If we come anytime soon you will be the first to know, we will book the small piece of floor in your lounge!

Hey! I'm just now reading your blog (Candace talks about you all the time) and I'm slightly jealous at your adventures. Way to be brave!! Hope you're having the time of your life.

So I'm not the best blogger, ergo commenting on a post that is 4 months old, but I must give you props for not succumbing to the UNC pressure. It isn't about winning, it is about principle! As a Duke grad, I can fully appreciate filling out an awful bracket based on principle alone. Good onya!
